RIP @PRODIGYMOBBDEEP

Yesterday walking into the studio I logged online to see one of the most influential icons was no longer with us. I can't sit here and lie like I'm a big MobbDeep fan. The one thing I can say about the group was they provided a high demand for real music when I was growing up. If you love Hip hop like I do you understand the magnitude of culture MobbDeep represented in the Hip Hop community. Prodigy is 1/2 of the group main two artist within MobbDDeep.

Coming up there were many songs that became like the soundtrack to my youth & Quit Storm was definitely  one of those songs. I decided to write this blog to represent how much just that one song "Quit Storm" became a important part to my up bringing growing up in Chicago. Even though the music was coming straight from the east-coast as a true fan of music, I had recognize how talented these two dudes. Music is a way to express yourself, and that's exactly what MobbDeep did throughout there career. The music with hiphop brings that raw uncut feel when you listen to artist of their caliber.

Albert Johnson P. K. A Prodigy was born November 2, 1974 in Hempsted New York & past this life at the age of 42 in Las Vegas June 20 2017. He was more than a rapper. To me he was a icon and a legend is this culture which helped mold me to become the man I am today. The energy you get from any song created by these to dudes was real & uncensored, which brought a since of trust and entertainment at the same time. Growing up without a father figure I can honestly say when I looked for game and knowledge in the street I turned to music at a early age. I remember the beef between Tupac & MobbDeep which at the time seemed so real, but as I got older I realize it was a form of entertainment.

Nas was one of my favorite rap artist coming from the east coast. I had to mention Nas because I felt he was a significant  person when it cam to Prodigy's career. I hate I never got a chance to see MobbDeep perform live in concert. The music produced by these two dudes moved all around the world. The hiphop community wouldn't  the same with out Havoc & Prodigy its sad to see people go especially iconic people like Prodigy so early in life. One thing I can say is he left a legacy for guys like me to turn to all over the world which express the feeling that no matter who you are you can become great at what you do in life.

Who Is @DeeJayMiggz ....@westwingmedia

Who is DeeJay Miggz ?

This dude is defiantly one of the most important components of the music business .

A true DJ.

Chicago gives you no space to be wack, no matter what line of business your in.Respect is only giving through show & prove & that's exactly what DJ Miggz brings.

Chicago leaves no space for error when it comes to being great at what you do.
Social media is my passion but when I was a kid I dreamed of being a DJ.
DJ's control what makes that one girl you see in the corner move the way she moves, while at the same time keeping the bartender in his groove focus on the order's  at the same time enjoying himself cause he know DeejayMiggz is in the building. Miggz moves the crowed.
DJ MIGGZ

I was in the studio last night with the team working on two new projects. Miggz was adamant on finishing up, planing to release it the following day. The work ethic of a true DJ is just important as the music he or she collects . As a artist we all want the DJ or producer etc, to go that extra mile when hosting a mix-tape or simply giving drops  .

This is what DJ Miggz brings to his craft every night as he moves the crowed. I look forward to working with Miggz in the future as he continues to perfect his craft. He is has a great team as well, WESTWING.

Artist to Know - Jengo - I Don't Mind ( Video) @WESTWINGMEDIA

Artist to Know
JULY 2017

Jengo - I Don't Mind
For those who follow us we greatly appreciate you.

I had a chance to record a session with the dude who was born in Africa & found his place to create music here in Chicago. His energy was some what very professional for a young artist.
I was surprised. In Chicago, drill music is what we are known for producing through our music.
Jengo music still provides that energetic feel but without that so aggressive feel to it.

Last week Jengo performed live Downtown Chicago at the
"House of Blues" stay tuned in for more live footage.

Jengo booked stuido time with me to record a new track off his up & coming project.
The moment he walked in the studio, Jengo was ready lyrics typed up, printed out.
I was like ok, shorty on point with his work ethic.
I find my self working with all types of artist, most need artist development but Jengo got this dope sound that cant be denied . Press Play ....!
